Her next movie release in support role was Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule which released in 2007. That film was a hit. In 2008, she debuted as a female lead in her first Tamil movie Subramaniapuram. For her performance in Ashta Chamma she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu and Nandi Award for Best Actress. She made her debut in Malayalam with Amen which was a super hit. Reportedly, Swati will work in Telugu Cinema in sequel Gitanjali 2 directed by Raj Kiran. Biography Swathi was born in Vladivostok, Russia (earlier Soviet Union). She was named as Svetlana but later changed to Swathi. Her family moved to Mumbai and later to the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam, where she spent most of her childhood. While studying in 11th class, she moved to Hyderabad. She enrolled at St. Marys College in Yousufguda, Hyderabad and graduated in biotechnology. After her EAMCET, she ventured into television at age 17 by hosting a show called "Colors". After completing the first year of her graduation, she made her debut in feature films.
Family Swathi's father was an officer in the Indian Navy, was training as a submariner in the Soviet Union. She has one elder brother named Siddharth. Upcoming movie TripuraTripura is an upcoming 2015 horror thriller film, which is being directed by Raj Kiran and produced by A Chinababu, M Rajasekhar. Latest news Swathi Reddy after celebrating the success of Karthikeya is now all set to sign the upcoming sequel film Geethanjali 2. The plan to make a sequel was finalised in December last year. Since then the makers have been on the lookout for a suitable heroine to play the titular role. Swathi Reddy is likely to be part of the sequel. The talks are going on.
